KINGS OF ELYMAIS. Kamnaskires II Nikephoros, circa 147-139 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 26 mm, 12.35 g, 9 h), Susa (?). Diademed head of Kamnaskires II to right; behind, monogram of EA. Rev. BΑΣΙΛΕΩ[Σ] - KAMNIKIPOY (sic!) / [NIKHΦOPOY] Apollo seated left on omphalos, holding arrow in his right hand and resting his left on grounded bow. Van’t Haaff Type 2.1.1-2 var. (differing reverse legend). Very rare with this interesting spelling error on the reverse. Harshly cleaned and with numerous scratches and some horn silver, otherwise, very fine.
